Ansell Gloves Save Frank's Day
Extensive Glove Selection Lowers Hand Injuries
Dona File
Corporate Safety Director - L. F. Driscoll Co., LLC (A Structure Tone Organization)
Ansell gloves have been extremely successful in helping us here at the L. F. Driscoll Company, LLC (Construction Management) lower our hand injuries on jobsites by offering subcontractors an extensive selection of gloves that their workforce actually ASK for and want to wear. The variety of gloves is most impressive. An electrician noted that you can tell how good a glove is by whether or not you can pick up the smallest washer at the bottom of your tool pouch – which he said with a grin of approval on his face, as he held the small washer in his Ansell gloved fingertips. A long time carpenter superintendent recently called me to see where he could purchase Ansell gloves because his laborers were requesting them as they were comfortable to wear all day and provided the level of protection they needed for demolition at a hospital project. Ansell has been extremely accommodating in providing sample gloves for workers and helping them determine the appropriate level of protection for the hazard. Thanks to Ansell, I know we are well on our way to improving our safety culture which now includes mandatory glove usage for tasks with dangerous hand exposures.
Cut Protection
Michael Ricalde
My name is Michael Ricalde II, and I work as a lead man for Western Partitions. Recently
I have been testing out a new glove that we were supplied to see what was effective
for our field of work; I was using the blue Ansell gloves. Last week while framing
I got to see how effective they were. I had folded over a 6" piece of track and
was using my utility knife to score the track so I could bend off the piece I needed.
When I pulled the utility knife across the track it slipped and the blade slammed
into my left thumb. I thought for sure I was going to need stitches with how hard
I had hit my hand. After examining my hand I realized the blade hadn't even gone
through the glove. If I had been using our regular set of gloves I know it would
have cut through the glove and cut my thumb pretty bad. The blue Ansell gloves have
worked very well for me; they last much longer than normal gloves and can definitely
take more of a beating.

I was working on the racecar using a grinder with a heavy sanding pad. The grinder
kicked back, and the pad caught the top of my finger. Sure, it hurt, but the grinder
didn't cut through the glove or my skin. I have scars from other times this
has happened while wearing other brands of protective gloves. Love my Ansell gloves!
Increased Performance

The dexterity of these Ansell gloves have allowed me not to fear handling sharp
objects. I also like them because they are comfortable and fit really good. They
are not loose on my hands or fingers so I can pick up small objects as well as large
objects and I don't have to worry about them slipping out of my hands. I would recommend
these gloves very highly. They work really well.
Better Productivity

From a safety stand point we like to have gloves that allows our guys to handle
objects without cutting their hands. We get better productivity and save time from
not having hand injuries. I recommend Ansell gloves because they fit very well,
allow dexterity, they're cut resistant, and they work.

On a personal note, the gloves already saved me from a serious injury.
While lowering a boat anchor into the water this past weekend I was wearing a pair of your gloves which prevented
a rusty fishing hook, that had been embedded into the anchor line, from finding its way into the palm of my hand.
Thanks again for your support.

I received the sample of the Combat G this week, and I am already impressed with them.
The dexterity and touch of the gloves is better than anything have used previously. I've tried several different brands of gloves over
3 different deployments, and these feel better than all of them right out of the box. I will be ordering them for our upcoming
deployment to Afghanistan. Thank you very much for the gloves, I am sure they will serve our troops well.

These gloves (HyFlex 11-627) are the only ones we ever tried
that would hold up, they are still wearing them after 4-5 big jobs. When chipping concrete, we never had a
pair last longer than a day. At the previous shows we paid $40 for a pair of gloves and they didn't last until lunch.
